Cost is determined by the scope and specification of the system.
Think of it like building a wall around your property:
The scope is the overall job — building the wall.
The specification defines the details — for example, the wall must be 6ft high and painted white with blue trim.
If you later decide it should be 8ft high and painted all blue, the scope hasn’t changed (it’s still a wall), but the specification has.
Adjusting the specification increases costs and extends the timeline because more materials and time are required.
Fee Structure
- A project estimate is calculated based on the SCOPE and SPECIFICATION and is often split into monthly payments across the estimated project duration.
- New projects typically require an upfront retainer before work starts (usually 15% of the total estimate).
- We charge an hourly rate for smaller projects and support services. This rate changes from time to time and is billed in half-hour blocks.
- SPECIFICATION changes affect the final cost and timeline.
- A fixed daily fee is charged when we need to work on-site.
- Travel and accommodation expenses (when necessary) are for the client’s account.
- Additional costs (API subscriptions, cloud servers, etc.) are for the client’s account.
- SLAs are available for fixed monthly services such as server backups and remote support.
